Infrastructure Manager | Telford | >£45k
One of Telford’s most innovative and fast growing companies is looking for an Infrastructure Manager to work in their head office and provide support for their open source hosted platforms, management, and associated services.
We are looking you to help develop advanced software technologies to support scalable business processes, automation, and operational productivity. The service function should enable delivery of a fully managed and hosted solution to a full range of clients. Your solutions should improve customer experience, reduce time critical tasks and improve working relationships with existing and new clients.
You will have a team of 4 other technical support administrators/Sys Admin to help you on your quest for the above. Your role will also involve mentoring and managing this small but perfectly formed team of technicians and you will have a direct report link to the MD. You will engage with clients regarding escalated service issues and take an active part in meetings and proposal writing to secure new business. In addition to your management duties, you’ll need to have a hands-on approach when needed and be able to provide support on all of the open source technologies used.
Your knowledge and skill set will need to include:
- Linux systems administrator (Centos).
- Windows 2012 /2016 server administration
- Git, AD, LDAP
- Server scripting
- Networks
- LAMP
- CRM
- Automation
To be successful in this role you will ideally have had 2+ years experience in Management/Supervisory role. Confident in your approach and have adaptable communication style to suit all levels. You will have a pragmatic approach, and be able to identify and implement improvements to existing practices and processes. Your hands on approach will require you to have top-notch systems administration experience and be able to demonstrate and support your evolving team.
