Software Tester | Telford | >£30,000
The ‘Pirates of Telford Valley’ are in their very own battle to become the market leaders in their field of expertise & produce fantastic new features and improvements to delight their customers all around the world! They are an existing scrum team of development and testing ‘pirates’ that are highly motivated to outperform all other teams around the world even those at ‘Silicon Valley’.
We are looking for a Technical Backend Software Tester to help test and analyse the technical aspects of their product requirements and ensure it is ready to release to the world.
Your role will include analysing the product requirements and produce test plans. You will be guided by a highly experienced team to make sure your test scripts follow sound methodologies . You will conduct functional tests using manual test scripts across the development lifecycle within a Scrum development environment . You will also be responsible for creating test harnesses for backend code that does not have a user interface . As part of this testing, you will identify defects in the software and work with the development team to resolve them.
To be successful in this role you will need to have a good understanding of C#, MongoDB and PostgreSQL . You will also need knowledge of API testing & your communication skills need to be top notch so you can communicate findings articulately. Once you ‘break’ it you need to be able to say how you did it and come up with suggestions on how to ‘fix’ it.
